We are an ambitious team dedicated to building an innovative ecosystem that provides all the necessary resources for startups to succeed, from workspace to hardware to market insights. With two locations in Taipei City, FutureWard is a great place for both local and international teams to call home.
Daniel Lin is the founder and CEO of FutureWard. He is a genetic engineer, educator, producer, entrepreneur, and bridge builder who is passionate about activating the innovation and startup ecosystems in Taiwan. He started one of the largest and most comprehensive makerspaces in Asia in 2014, and is now leading the strategic relationships with corporations, associations, and local governments to harness Taiwan’s technical and manufacturing expertise to help solve intractable problems
In an earlier life, Dan was conducting cancer research at Johns Hopkins Medical School, managing laboratories and developing immunotherapies. Upon his return to Taiwan, he segued into education; writing and editing textbooks and testing programs before producing an English language learning program on TVBS.
Jonathan Liao is the COO at FutureWard Central. He is an acoustic engineer, audio professional, and project manager with extensive links to the hotel and service industry. An avid supporter of audio and integration technologies, Jonathan is the backstage operator fine tuning the workings and production of FutureWard Central.
Before returning to Taiwan, Jonathan was an engineer at a acoustic consulting firm in London. In 2010, he co-founded Audio 6 Ltd. in Taipei & Kaohsiung, a turnkey audio solutions company representing overseas brands. In his spare time, Jonathan consults independently on building projects and can still be occasionally caught behind the DJ decks at local events.
Stephanie Wei is the Community Manager at FutureWard Central and is responsible for the day-to-day matters regarding the members, community, and events. She hails from the Windy City and attended the University of California, San Diego, majoring in Communications and Chinese Studies, before deciding to move to Taiwan.
Before joining FutureWard, Stephanie was a wedding planner at a well-known wedding consultant company, and then freelanced as an events coordinator for a social startup. In her spare time you can find her baking up a storm with her Easy-Bake Oven.
Lydia Lin is the Marketing Associate at FutureWard Central and is responsible for all affairs concerning media and marketing. After living in New York for two years, she has fully adopted their fast past pace way of life and high sense of urgency.
She graduated with a Masters from both the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champagne and NYU, specializing in using Google Analytics to track customer behavior. As of now, Lydia’s focus is managing FutureWard Central’s Facebook, Instragram, website, and marketing for all company events.
